Room Data Sheets SmartTool

RDS (Room Data Sheets) are used to record the requirements and information of each space in a design. They are usually created by the client at the briefing stage (also known as architectural programming in the US) of the design process. They can be updated throughout the design process to reflect changes or to give more information to those responsible for delivering https://searchstreams.info/room-data-sheets-example-for-management the project.

The Room Data Sheets SmartTool allows users to create rooms (or space), data sheets using the Revit project. It is a fast and accurate tool that can be used for sheets, elevations and schedule views. The tool can create 3D, plans elevations, and schedule views for spaces or rooms that are parametrically named and numbering new sheets.

The tool will default to the Room Numbering Template and Sheet Format that is created by the Revit Project. However you can choose a different sheet style and name by clicking the Tool Options tab. Click ‘Load configuration …” on the toolbar to replace the current settings with previously saved configurations. This helps reduce the amount manual re-work needed for each different room or space size and type.

The ‘Naming’ tab allows the user to select whether the selected room/space is included in the sheet’s Name text box which is located on the left of the screen. The ‘View Title: option specifies the text that appears in the title bar for each view. View Increment specifies how many increments there are between each view on the sheet. The option ‘Spacing’ can be enabled to control the space between each view on the sheet and’Exclude View Titles in estimating view sizes on Sheets’ option will stop titles from being included when determining the number of views that could fit on a page.
