ABOUT
Türev Uludağ is a culinary explorer and passionate storyteller of food culture. Deeply devoted to Turkish cuisine, he has travelled extensively across Anatolia to experience local recipes firsthand and learn traditional cooking techniques directly from master chefs. He has complemented this rich fieldwork with international training, completing professional culinary and mixology programmes at USLA Academy and earning the prestigious Japanese Cuisine Bronze Certification—held by only a select few worldwide.
In addition to his culinary pursuits, Türev trained in on-camera presentation at the Craft Acting Workshop, developing a strong media presence. He has appeared in more than 400 television programmes, many of which he also produced. His educational initiatives, including the “Save Your Food” campaign in collaboration with the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), have contributed to raising awareness about food sustainability and waste reduction.
Following the devastating earthquakes on 6 February, he led the coordination of field kitchens that delivered over 17 million hot meals to those affected, demonstrating the power of the kitchen as a space for solidarity and compassion in times of crisis.
Currently, through his television programme Lezzet Türevleri (Flavours of Türev), aired on TRT Belgesel, he continues to celebrate and share the rich stories of Turkish cuisine with audiences around the world.
