Okan Dursun, a Founding Member of Twin Science, has been recognized as one of the 17 Young Leaders for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) during the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly in 2022. This honor was granted after a rigorous selection process that considered over 5,400 applications from 190 countries. Twin Science, the world’s first ed-tech company to integrate STEM learning with SDGs education, has successfully reached over one million young people in 70 countries through its STEM Kits and mobile app. The company’s accomplishments have been acknowledged by prestigious organizations, including the World Economic Forum and the Toy Industry of Europe. Prior to his involvement with Twin Science, Okan was selected as one of 50 young talents from 50,000 applicants to develop impactful projects for refugees, orphans, and the visually impaired through the Young Guru Academy. Furthermore, Okan leads the World Science Movement, a project that has provided STEM education opportunities to more than 500,000 underprivileged children across several countries. Dedicated to promoting equality in education, Okan is committed to expanding these initiatives to reach young minds globally.
