Isra Chaker is a Syrian-American activist and humanitarian advocate. She is the Senior Campaign Manager at Amnesty International USA, where she drives innovation and creativity across a range of campaigns, including the Gaza #CeasefireNow efforts. She also serves as a Board Member for MedGlobal, and is the architect of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s For Mama campaign, the first advocacy, and multi-million dollar resource mobilisation project targeting maternal, newborn and child health.
Isra has been celebrated for her leadership on issues including immigrant, refugee, and asylum seeker rights, racial justice, and discriminatory policies, including the Muslim Bans.
