ABOUT
Bas van Rossum is the Global Youth Commission Chair at the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC). He leads the organisation’s work with young people across its 192 National Societies worldwide and sits on the IFRC’s Governing Board in Geneva, Switzerland. Bas is the youngest ever elected board member in the IFRC’s 150-year history, overseeing policy, strategy, and operations.
Additionally, Bas serves as the United Nations Lead at Deloitte, a global management consulting firm. He provides advisory services to United Nations Agencies worldwide, supporting organisations like UNICEF, UNDP, and WFP on governance, strategy, risk management, and innovation. Bas has achieved global recognition for his accomplishments, including being honoured on the Forbes 30 Under 30 List. He holds a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Amsterdam in the Netherlands
