Access 2.0: Building an Inclusive Future through Technology and Design
The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the power of technology and digital spaces in creating opportunities for inclusion, especially for individuals with limited abilities and disabilities. As we navigate the “new normal,” it has become increasingly evident that accessible technology, inclusive design, and the future of accessibility are critical topics to be discussed in the context of creating a more inclusive future. Inclusive design and technology go beyond accessibility compliance and focus on designing products, services, and environments that are usable, intuitive, and inclusive for everyone, regardless of their abilities. These emphasise the importance of incorporating diverse perspectives and experiences in the design process to create solutions that are accommodating, flexible, and inclusive by default.
This talk will highlight the potential of technology and design in creating a more inclusive world with the aim to inspire young minds for positive change through innovation, advocacy, and awareness to become champions of accessibility and inclusion in their communities for the benefit of individuals with disabilities.
